6 October 09:00-14:00Stora Blå, Tvistevägen 57A

You have a business idea. But before investing more time, energy or money, you need to understand your target audience, their needs, and the factors that will influence your idea’s potential. Validation helps reduce uncertainty, focus your efforts and make better decisions about your next steps.

Talk to Customers is a workshop for students who want to test their assumptions in the real world. Together with sales and validation expert Christian Malmsten, you will learn how to validate your idea by talking to potential customers, users and other relevant stakeholders. You will gain practical tools for asking the right questions, gathering valuable insights and understanding what matters before investing further time and resources in developing your business idea.

Validation is not about selling your idea or convincing others that it is a good one. It is about learning as much as possible about your target audience and the needs they experience. Through interviews, you can explore questions such as:

  • Is the problem important enough for someone to want to solve?
  • Who experiences the problem most strongly?
  • How are people addressing the situation today?
  • Is my business idea the right way forward, or does it need further development?

The goal is to help you gain insights that lead to better decisions and increase your chances of creating something that future customers are willing to pay for.

The workshop is led by Christian Malmsten, who has more than 20 years of experience in complex sales and validation processes within the Swedish innovation system. He specialises in early-stage projects connected to universities and research and has guided more than 500 startups from the idea stage towards commercial collaborations
